AngerEase is built to feel like a quiet, private corner of your day. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have. We only collect what we need to help you reset, understand your triggers, and build calmer habits — and we never sell your data.
Who this applies to
This policy covers the AngerEase mobile app and this website. By using AngerEase, you agree to the practices described here. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
Information we collect
AngerEase requires an account so your progress and preferences can sync securely across your devices. To make that work, we collect:
- Account & sign-in details — such as your email address and the authentication information needed to keep your account secure.
- Your progress data — things like completed resets, trigger tags (where, when, and who), habit check-ins, mood entries, streaks, and the insights generated from them. This syncs to your account so it’s there on every device you sign in to.
- Preferences — settings like your notification choices.
- Basic technical information — limited device and app data (such as app version and crash diagnostics) that helps us keep AngerEase stable and working well.
Your private journal
Your journal is yours. Journal entries stay on your device and are visible only to you. They are never shared, sold, or used for advertising. Reflecting after a reset is always optional — you can skip it entirely.
How we use your information
- To provide the core experience — resets, trigger insights, habit loops, and daily quotes.
- To sync your progress and preferences across your devices.
- To send the gentle reminders you’ve chosen to receive.
- To keep the app secure, fix bugs, and improve how it works.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use your private reflections to build advertising profiles.
Notifications
AngerEase sends at most three gentle check-in reminders a day. They’re fully optional — you can customize or turn them off at any time in the app’s settings or through your device’s notification controls.
Working offline
Core tools — breathing exercises, 5-4-3-2-1 grounding, and the built-in daily quotes — work without an internet connection. Data created offline syncs to your account the next time you’re online.
Sharing & disclosure
We don’t sell your data, and we share it only when necessary:
- Trusted service providers who help us run the app (for example, secure cloud hosting and authentication), under agreements that limit them to providing those services.
- Legal reasons — if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
Data retention
We keep your account and synced data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your associated personal data, except where we’re required to retain limited information by law.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit who can access it.
Your choices & rights
- Access and review the information tied to your account.
- Correct or update your account details.
- Delete your account and the personal data associated with it.
- Control notifications at any time.

Children’s privacy
AngerEase is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we’ll remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as AngerEase evolves. When we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
